Larry Gallegos found out about his uncle’s death in the Utah State Prison from a Standard-Examiner article. Since then, he’s been trying to obtain his uncle’s remains and to find out what happened behind bars. According to official reports, William Edwards Gallegos, 54, died in December 2017 from an apparent methamphetamine overdose. His death was accidental.

All on-campus residents were told on Monday to move out by Wednesday, if possible, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Washington, who is from California, got approval to continue living in her dorm through the spring semester because it was difficult for her to find other living arrangements. Her mother recently passed away, and her mother’s home was put up for sale, so she can’t return there. She’d like to stay through the summer, but it’s uncertain if the dorms will remain open.
